The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition and a quasi-drug composition for preventing or treating viral or bacterial infectious diseases, and a dietary supplement composition, a feed or a feed additive for preventing or alleviating viral or bacterial infectious diseases, the compositions, the feed, and the feed additive containing an extract of Curcuma zedoaria capable of increasing the activity of TLR4 and TLR7/8 and inducing the generation of interferon β or a fraction thereof and a method for preventing or treating viral or bacterial infectious diseases by using the composition.
