PURPOSE: The ion generator for the air purifier is provided to increase the efficiency of the ion generation by converting a flow of air to equal laminar flow, minimize an emission of cation. CONSTITUTION: An anion generator is comprises ion generator(300), which includes a cation electrode and anion electrode, an electrode cover(100), which comprises chamber in which the air flows in specific direction by covering the ion generator. The chamber includes mixing chamber, which the cation electrode and anion electrode is located, and the cation outflow prevention part is located in the out flowing side of flowing air in the mixing chamber. The chamber further includes the laminar flow fluidization chamber, and a height of the laminar flow fluidization chamber is lower than mixing chamber.본 발명은 양이온전극 및 음이온전극을 포함하는 이온발생부 및 이온발생부 상에 덮혀서 공기가 일방향으로 유동하는 챔버를 형성하는 전극덮개를 포함하며, 챔버는 양이온전극 및 음이온전극이 위치하는 혼합실을 포함하며, 혼합실의 유동공기 방출측면 일부에 양이온 유출방지부가 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 음이온 발생 장치에 관한 것이다.본 발명을 통하여, 이온의 발생량을 증가시키고 양이온 방출량의 최소화를 제공한다.
