PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which hardly gives a discomfort to a wearer since the absorbent article is excellent in fitness to a body shape, even when the absorbent article is worn in a deviated state at some degree, which hardly generates a gap between the absorbent article and a skin of a wearer, and which exhibits a sufficient absorbent property.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 of the invention comprises a middle height part 42 which has thickness and basis weight larger than those of a first area 41F and a second area 41R on an intermediate area 41M of an absorbent core 41. The middle height part 42 has a middle height center part 421 which extends over whole length of a lateral direction and extends in a vertical direction a front side salient part 422 which becomes a salient shape toward the first area 41F side from a front end part of the middle height center part 421 and a rear side salient part 423 which becomes a salient toward the second area 41R side from a rear end part of the middle height center part 421.
