The present invention relates to a system and a method for computing the human locomotion information of a person under test, capable of computing the human locomotion information only with a small number of physical parameters and dynamic parameters of the person required, in cooperation with a human locomotion model. The system comprises: an acquiring module, a sensing module, a memory module, a computing module, and an outputting module, wherein the computing module is coupled with the acquiring module, the sensing module, the memory module and the outputting module. The human locomotion information is computed by the computing module, basing on the leg-length and the foot-length acquired by the acquiring module, the acceleration value and the walking period sensed by the sensing module, with the application of the human locomotion model stored in the memory module.
