To provide an apparatus for draining aqueous humor from an eye for reducing intraocular pressure.SOLUTION: A draining apparatus 30 comprises a tube 32 defining a passage for a fluid flow between an inlet end 44 and an outlet end 42. An outlet component 34 contacts the conjunctival layer external to an eyeball. The outlet component comprises a housing in fluid communication with the outlet end of the tube and having an aperture for allowing egress of aqueous humor onto the external ocular surface. A resistive component is disposed in the housing for providing resistance to a flow of aqueous humor.
