The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of filovirus infections. Although several antivirals have shown efficacy against Ebola virus infection in vitro or in animal models, few of them have been yet assessed in human beings with Ebola virus disease. The inventors aimed at identifying novel antivirals showing efficacy against Ebola virus infection. Gemcitabine and obatoclax were identified and their synergistic effects with favipiravir were demonstrated. In particular, the present invention relates to a method of treating a filovirus infection in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective combination of favipiravir and Obatoclax. The present invention also relates to a method of treating a filovirus infection in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective combination of favipiravir and gemcitabine.La présente invention concerne des procédés et des compositions pharmaceutiques pour le traitement dinfections à filovirus. Bien que plusieurs antiviraux aient présenté une efficacité contre une infection par le virus Ebola in vitro ou dans des modèles animaux, un petit nombre de ceux-ci ont été évalués chez des êtres humains souffrant dune maladie due au virus Ebola. Linvention a pour objectif didentifier de nouveaux antiviraux présentant une efficacité contre linfection par le virus Ebola. La gemcitabine et lobatoclax ont été identifiés et leurs effets synergiques avec le favipiravir ont été démontrés.
