Abstract An Intelligent prosthetic leg is designed for that person who lost one of their leg due to some reasons such as automobile accidents, Diabetes mellitus etc. We have designed an intelligent prosthetic leg which provides more flexibility over traditional prosthetic leg. Sensors are installed on amputees preserved leg i.e. at knee joint and ankle joint to read angular movement. An Intelligent Data acquisition system is used to read the sensors during the swing phase of amputees preserve leg. This information is processed and stored in microcontroller memory, and then it is used for the movement of prosthesis. A servomechanism is developed to provide sufficient torque for the movement of prosthesis.
