One aspect of the present invention provides a medical device (1) which is transplantable into a body of a person or an animal, or which is an enhancement apparatus to strengthen hard tissues of a person or an animal for following transplantation of a separate implant. The medical device (1) includes an external element (11) suitable for touching live hard tissues and/or a hard tissue substitutive material during a surgical operation. For example, the external element comprises: a longitudinal bore (13) generally having a long shape, and defining a longitudinal opening hole extended along a distal direction from a distal end part of the external element； and a plurality of holes (14) in the wall of the opening hole. Moreover, the medical device includes a liquefiable element (21) capable of being at least partially liquefied by effect of energy applied from a proximal side in order to make a liquefied material inserted or capable of being inserted into the longitudinal opening hole flowing into the hard tissue and/or a structure of the hard tissue substitutive material to the outside of the longitudinal opening hole through the hole (14) in the wall.
