PURPOSE: An apparatus for capturing harmful insects is provided to mount a capturing unit diffusing an insect attracting scent for capturing the insects on a shelf fixed to a wall, thereby improving a property for capturing the insects, an aesthetic property, and a hygienic property.CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for capturing harmful insects includes a shelf(110) and a capturing unit(120). The shelf is fixed to a wall, and has a housing space with a certain size inside. The capturing unit is detachably installed on the shelf. The capturing unit stickily captures the insects, which is attracted to an insect attracting scent, with a sticking layer at the front side of the capturing unit. The sticking layer contains an insect attracting agent, and is sticky. The shelf includes a wall coupling part in contact with the wall(200), the housing space(118) formed into a concave shape with a certain size inside, and a supporting plate(119) which is fixed on the housing space and has multiple scent diffusing holes placed at regular distances. The capturing unit comprises a fixing part(121), a non-sticking part(122), a sticking part(123), the sticking layer(124), and multiple scent discharging holes(125). The fixing part on the shelf is formed into a plate having a certain area, and fitting pieces(121a) are equipped at both sides of the plate. Both ends of the non-sticking part are fit into the fitting pieces. The sticking part is equipped at the front side of the capturing unit excluding the non-sticking part. The sticking layer at the front side of the sticking part contains the scent attracting agent, and is sticky.
