Musculocutaneous flap is displaced as one unit, preserving integrity of superficial and deep vessels and nerves, sternocleidomastoid, trapezoid, belt muscles with their displacement towards ipsilateral arm providing access bodies of spinous processes of the cervical vertebrae C1, C2, C3 and skull base.
