PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide purified mesenchymal stem cell compositions and methods of purifying mesenchymal stem cell compositions.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutically acceptable composition comprising purified mesenchymal stem cells comprises one or more mesenchymal stem cell aggregates, where D90 of the aggregates is less than about 150 μm. The composition may comprise dimethyl sulfoxide or less than about 42 μg/mL of residual bovine serum albumin.
