The present invention relates to an absorbent disposable incontinence diaper(2), with a main part (4) comprising a front area (6) with front lateral lengthwiseedges (42), a back area (8) with rear lateral lengthwise edges (41), and, lyingbetween these in the longitudinal direction (28), a crotch area (10) that comesto lie between the legs of a user, wherein the main part (4) comprises an absorbentbody (12), and with rear lateral sections (20) attached to the rear area (8) onboth sides, and with front lateral sections (22) attached to the front area (6)on both sides, which sections extend in the transverse direction (30) acrossthe lateral front and rear lengthwise edges (42, 41) of the main part (4) and connectthe front area (6) and the back area (8) to each other when the disposable incontinencediaper is fitted in place. In order to form leg opening areas (50), the lateralsections (20, 22), at least on the side directed towards the crotch area (10),extend obliquely with respect to the longitudinal direction (28) or have a curvedconfiguration, and the main part (4) has an hourglass shape, at least in the crotcharea. The lateral sections (20, 22) of front area (6) and back area (8) differ interms of at least one primary property chosen from the group including the typeof material, weight per unit area, breathability, density, extensibility,sealing force, surface extent, thickness, colour, wherein the oblique or curvedprofile of the lateral sections (20, 22) and the hourglass-shaped contour ofthe main part (4) on both lengthwise sides of the disposable incontinence diaper(2) are formed in each case by a single separating operation that includes thelateral sections (20, 22) and the main part (4), and wherein the separating operationincludes the main part (4) also in the area of the front and rear lateral edge (42,41) of the main part (4). The invention also relates to a method for producing adisposable incontinence diaper.
