PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical swab securing less separation of cotton tissue from a cotton wad when inserting it into a body.SOLUTION: The medical swab to be inserted and used in a body in a surgery includes a rod-like stem 3 held by a user and a cotton wad 2 provided at the tip of the stem 3. The surface of the cotton wad 2 is coated by urethane acrylate resin and the thickness of coating is from 100 μm through 500 μm. By this, separation of cotton tissue from the cotton wad in the body can be reduced and usage performances such as absorbency of the cotton wad for liquid and protection of organs can be fully maintained in a use state of the medical swab.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】体内に挿入して使用した際に、綿状体からの綿組織の離脱がより少ない医療用綿棒を提供する。【解決手段】手術時に体内に挿入されて使用される医療用綿棒であって、使用者が把持する棒状の軸部3と、軸部3の先端に設けられた綿状体2とを備え、綿状体2の表面はウレタンアクリレート樹脂でコートされており、コート厚みは100μm以上500μm以下とした。これにより、医療用綿棒の使用状況において、体内における綿状体からの綿組織の離脱を低減でき、且つ、綿状体における液体の吸収性や臓器への愛護牲といった使用上の性能も十分に維持できる。【選択図】図2
