PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image diagnosis supporting apparatus capable of accurately observing an abnormality in the thickness of a breast wall.
SOLUTION: The image diagnosis supporting apparatus includes a CT device 2 for acquiring a tomographic image including the lung region of a subject a CRT 15 for displaying the acquired tomographic image and a CPU 11. The CPU 11 extracts the inner side of ribs included in the tomographic image as a breast wall region, measures a thickened part in the lung wall region with the extracted breast wall region as the reference, extracts the contour of the breast wall in a tomographic image adjacent to the tomographic image, generates a superimposed image with the measured thickened part of the lung wall region and the contour of the breast wall of the adjacent tomographic image, and displays the generated superimposed image in the CRT 15.
