PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable air cleaner which can easily and quickly cope with both electricity from a 100 V receptacle and electricity from an on-vehicle battery, and dispenses with a connection code for connecting to a 100 V receptacle or a cigar lighter socket.SOLUTION: A portable air cleaner includes: an air cleaner body part 1 which incorporates a cleaning component generator and a receptacle plug part 2 which has an insertion pin 21 insertable into and removable from an existing 100 V receptacle. A body casing of the air cleaner body part 1 is partially or entirely made of a resin containing germanium. A cylindrical insertion shaft part 3 is projected from the air cleaner body part 1, and a cylindrical insertion hole part 23, into which the insertion shaft part 3 is inserted, is recessed in the receptacle plug part 2, whereby the air cleaner body part 1 and the receptacle plug part 2 are provided so as to be freely combined with and separated from each other.
