Disclosed is an isolated monoclonal antibody which binds to human CD27, wherein the antibody comprises: a heavy chain variable region CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO: 38, a heavy chain variable region CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO: 39, a heavy chain variable region CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO: 40, a light chain variable region CDR1 comprising SEQ ID NO: 44, a light chain variable region CDR2 comprising SEQ ID NO: 45, and a light chain variable region CDR3 comprising SEQ ID NO: 46 a heavy chain variable region and a light chain variable region comprising an amino acid sequence at least 85% identical to the amino acid sequences set forth in SEQ ID NOs: 37 and 43, respectively or a heavy chain variable region and a light chain variable region encoded by nucleic acid sequences at least 90% identical to the nucleic acid sequences set forth in SEQ ID NOs: 35 and 41, respectively, wherein the sequences are as defined in the complete specification. Also disclosed is the use of the antibody in the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer.
