The inventors have found that HMGB1 fragment peptides with specific amino acid sequences exhibit the effects of inhibiting finger adhesion and scarring of the digestive tract and prolonging survival in malnourished epidermal bullous model mice. In the skin ulcer model, it was also found that administration of this specific HMGB1 fragment peptide inhibits fibrosis of the skin in the healing process of the ulcer.
