The present invention provides a device and a method for extracting a feature for detecting bio-information from a bio-signal by considering concavity and convexity of a waveform shape of the bio-signal, and a device for detecting bio-information such as blood pressure by using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for extracting a feature of a bio-signal comprises: a bio-signal obtaining part obtaining the bio-signal from a subject； and a processing part extracting a feature for detecting bio-information from the bio-signal by analyzing the concavity and the convexity of the obtained bio-signal waveform in a constant interval unit.혈압과 같은 생체 정보의 검출을 위하여 생체 신호로부터 특징(feature)을 추출하는 장치가 개시된다. 일 양상에 따르면 생체 신호의 특징 추출 장치는 피검체로부터 생체 신호를 획득하는 생체 신호 획득부와 획득된 생체 신호 파형을 일정 구간 단위로 오목성 및 볼록성을 분석함으로써 생체 신호로부터 생체 정보 검출을 위한 특징을 추출하는 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
