A medicament dispenser such as an asthma inhaler, with an mouth or nasal outlet for dispensing the medicament, a housing containing the medicament doses, a first display for presenting a number or information to the user, and an outlet cover that can be moved by sliding or rotating from a closed position so the first display is visible to an open position so that the display is hidden. The dispenser can have a second indicator display so that the when the first display is covered from view, the second display is visible to the user. The first display indicates the number of doses released or the number of doses remaining in the dispenser. The second display indicates the state of the dispenser, either a dose is ready to be dispensed, a dose has been correctly dispensed, or a dose has been incorrectly dispensed. The two displays have different geometric shapes, and can be openings in the housing and outlet cover, and show mechanically changing indicators.
