PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction catheter in which an opening of a tube for a guide wire is hardly torn, and excellent in operation ability.SOLUTION: A suction catheter 10 comprises: a cylindrical suction tube comprising a first lumen； and a cylindrical tube for a guide wire, which is disposed on a tip end side of the suction tube in parallel to the suction tube, and having a second lumen disposed outside of the first lumen. An opening 12 of a base end 18 is partitioned by: a first surface 21 which is disposed on a distal side from the suction tube, and is along a first direction 102 crossing an axial line of the tube for a guide wire； a second surface 22 continuous to one end 24 of a peripheral direction 103 of the tube for a guide wire on the first surface, and is along a second direction 104 different from the first direction； and a third surface 23 continuous to the other end 25 of the peripheral direction 103 of the tube for a guide wire on the first surface 21, and is along a third direction 104 different from the first direction 102.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
