Method and system for gait controlled operations of a device includingone or more gait sensors (22) for sensing a pattern of self-propelled movementof aperson, which defines a gait. The gait controlled device (10) includes atleast one dataprocessor (40) configured for determining one or more first parameters whichdefine afirst gait of an authenticated person based on a first output of the one ormore gaitsensors. The data processor uses a second output of the one or more gaitsensors (22)to determine one or more second parameters which define a second gait of asecondperson. Thereafter, the data processor compares the first parameters to thesecondparameters to determine if the second gait resulted from the authenticatedperson.The data processor is configured to perform at least one action responsive tothecomparing.
