PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument that prevents separation between a resin tube and a reinforcing layer constituting a tubular body and achieves stable removal from a body cavity.SOLUTION: A catheter comprises a long tubular body 10 and an operation wire 60. The tubular body 10 includes: an inner reinforcing layer 30 that is formed by winding a reinforcing wire 32 around a main lumen 20； a sub-lumen that has a diameter smaller than that of the main lumen 20 and is arranged on a circumference of the inner reinforcing layer 30； an outer reinforcing layer 80 that is formed by winding a strand 82 around the inner reinforcing layer 30 and the inner reinforcing layer 30 at a prescribed winding diameter； and a resin outer layer 50 that contains the inner reinforcing layer 30, the sub-lumen and the outer reinforcing layer 80. The operation wire 60 is inserted into the sub-lumen in a movable manner and has a tip connected to a distal portion DE of the tubular body 10. A diameter in winding the outer reinforcing layer 80 is expanded in a distal region 86.
