PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform ridging operation using a walking type managing machine without requiring labors in exchanging machine parts.SOLUTION: The walking type managing machine includes: a traveling machine body with an engine 4 and an handle 15 at the rear of the traveling machine body, rotates a plowing shaft 9 through a power transmitting mechanism by a driving force of the engine 4, and plows by rotation of a plowing tine 10 provided in the plowing shaft 9. A resistance rod 13 is arranged in the rear rather than the plowing shaft 9 at the rear part of the traveling machine body.
