The present invention relates to a method for increasing disease resistance of a plant using an OsWRKY67 gene from Oryza sativa L., and to the plant thereby. According to the present invention, it is possible to increase resistance to blast disease and bacterial leaf blight of the plant by over-expressing the gene from Oryza sativa L. through inserting the gene into an expression vector for plant transformation, thereby promoting growth and eventually offering effects of increasing yield. Therefore, the method and the plant of the present invention can be effectively applied for breeding new variety of plants.본 발명은 벼 유래 OsWRKY67 유전자를 이용한 식물의 병 저항성을 증가시키는 방법 및 그에 따른 식물체에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따르면, 벼 유래의 상기 유전자를 식물 형질전환용 발현벡터에 삽입하여 과발현시킴으로써 식물체의 도열병 및 흰잎마름병에 대하여 저항성을 증진시켜 생육을 촉진하고, 결과적으로 수확량 증대효과를 가져올 수 있으므로, 신품종의 육성에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
