An automatic sound controlling apparatus for a pulse oximetry monitor of an anesthesia machine according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a noise measuring part measuring the level, frequency, and constant time of outer noise and a controller determining a sound output level according to the measured level, frequency, and constant time of the noise. Accordingly to the present invention, the sound may be output in consideration of noise inside an operating room.
