A self-positioning light filtering device for filtering optically harmfullightemitted from a light-emitting device is disclosed. The filtering devicecomprises a rotationalbearing with concentric outer and inner components rotatable relative to oneanother whichdefine an opening for receiving the tip or other component of a light-emittingdevice. Thefiltering device also comprises a transparent filter member, the filter memberand the innercomponent being rotatable relative to one another, and a counterweight forcausing the filtermember to remain upright when the inner component of the rotational bearingrotates relativeto the outer component, as when the light emitting device is rotated. Areplaceable light filterfor a light filtering device and a replaceable curing light filter inaccordance with the inventionare also disclosed.
