A pant-type absorbent article comprising a first body panel (16) having a body facing side (12) and a garment facing side (13) and a second body panel (17) having a body facing side and a garment facing side, the body facing sides of first and second body panels are held together in a face-to-face relationship along lateral edges to form side connections (19).
