PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for generating dry vaccine powder formulations which can be used for intranasal delivery.SOLUTION: The method for generating the dry vaccine powder formulations includes a step of preparing a liquid formulation comprising one or more antigens, such as a pathogen or its component, together with one or more substances. The liquid formulation is freeze-dried to generate powder. The powder may contain micro particles, is stable at room temperatures, and provides a high HA potency when the antigen is an influenza virus.
