PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent, a sheet, a feces treatment agent, or a plant pot prepared by using a material recovered from a sanitary article and/or a material constituting a sanitary article sanitized by disinfecting or sterilizing colon bacilli and various bacteria sticking to the recovered filthy sanitary article.
SOLUTION: The absorbent, sheet, feces treatment agent, and plant pot are characterized in that a water absorbing layer of mixed materials comprising a pulp, a water absorbing resin and paper powder each containing dead colon bacilli and a substance having a bactericidal action and each having a water content of less than 10% by weight, recovered from a sterilized sanitary article contaminated with filth is disposed between a first and a second water absorbing paper layer. The filth sticking to the materials constituting the sanitary article is subjected to drying and disinfection treatment, which materials are thereafter separated from the article and used for preparing the absorbent, sheet, feces treatment agent or plant pot, and thereby the recovered materials useful for a sanitary article can be effectively utilized.
