An improvement in the apparatus to secure a nasal cannula used with continuous positive airway pressure machines used with infants in neonatal intensive care units. A soft knit hat with slots is used to secure air hoses feeding the cannula. Elastic straps thread through the slots to secure the hoses to the infants head. A chin strap is used to hold the babys mouth closed to prevent air leakage while the cannula is in use. The hat also includes a set of horizontal slots in the center of the hat to attach a required eye shield. The device allows the infant to sleep on one side without hoses and tubes getting in the way. It also allows a parent to hold the child comfortably. Hoses can be secured to a chair or bed with a hose strap.
