The present invention relates to an apparatus for ripening fruit using ethylene. More specifically, the apparatus uses ethylene to ripe fruit and can perform post-processes on the fruit by automatically sensing the degree of fruit ripeness or completion of ripening the fruit based on color information of the fruit. The apparatus includes: a housing comprising an outer wall including an insulating material a chamber which is located inside the housing and accommodates fruit to be ripened a video module which records images of the fruit to be ripened an injection nozzle for injecting ethylene in the housing a control part for controlling the injection amount of ethylene injected through the injection nozzle and a database (DB) in which reference color information of the fruit is stored.
