A field crop spray apparatus (1) for spraying crops with liquids is disclosed. The apparatus (1) comprises an elongated carrier (5), a plurality of frames (7) connected to the carrier (5), an elongated blade (11) running parallel to the carrier, and sprayers (13) connected to the blade (11). The blade (11) is connected to the frames (7) in a hinging manner. A cylinder (15) is connected to the carrier (5) or frame (7) and a piston (17) is movable inside the cylinder and connected to the blade (11). The apparatus (1) is intended to be coupled to an agricultural tractor. The piston and cylinder can be used to adjust the height of the blade and also provide a damping effect.
