The present invention relates to a composition for treating tuberculosis and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition comprising AICAR, which is known as AMP-activated kinase (AMPK) modulator, as an active ingredient for treating tuberculosis. The composition comprising AICAR as the active ingredient of the present invention activates an autophagy phenomenon and production of active oxygen species and significantly reduces viability of Mycobacterium； thereby the composition can be used as a novel tuberculosis treating drug.본 발명은 결핵 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로 보다 상세하게는 AMPK(AMP-activated Kinase) 조절자로 잘 알려진 아이카(AICAR)를 유효성분으로 하는 결핵 치료용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다.
