PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial hip joint which can be prevented from bone dislocation.SOLUTION: The artificial hip joint includes: a liner 7 attachable to an acetabulum 102 of a pelvis and having a recess inner wall 8 a stem 11 attachable to a femur 104 a bone head 12 sliding on the inner wall 8 and a neck 13 for coupling the stem 11 to the bone head 12. Since a recess 14 is provided on the neck 13 corresponding to the outer periphery 9 of the inner wall 8, a rotation range of the stem 11 is made to be wide by the recess 14 of the neck 13 when the neck 13 collides against the inner wall 8 and dislocation hardly occurs. Also, since a fitting portion 15 fitting to the recess 14 is provided on the outer periphery 9 of the inner wall 8, the recess 14 of the neck 13 is fitted to the fitting portion 15 of the inner wall 8 when the neck 13 collides against the inner wall 8, and dislocation due to whirl of the neck 13 from the inner wall 8 is prevented.
