PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external preparation suitable for cosmetics and the like for whitening.SOLUTION: The skin external preparation, which efficiently works on melanins in skin cells and suitable for cosmetics and the like for whitening, comprises: (1) advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) decomposers and (2) inflammatory related factors (a whitening component, an anti-inflammatory component, and an antiplasmin component). For example, the decomposers are prepared from plants belonging to the Olea genus of the Oleaceae family, the Saxifraga genus of the Saxifragaceae family, the Potentilla genus of the Rosaceae family, the Aspalathus genus of the Fabaceae family, the Filipendula genus of the Rosaceae family, the Artemisia genus of the Asteraceae family, and the Astragalus genus of the Fabaceae family. For example, the inflammatory related factors are a melanogenesis inhibitor, an α-MSH inhibitor, a melanocyte dendrite extension inhibitor, a proton pump inhibitor and the like.
