The absorptive article (1) has a shape longer than is wide and includes a front surface sheet, a rear surface sheet, and the absorptive body (4) placed between both the sheets. In at least either of flap rigidity regions (60) of the respective front flap section (55) and rear flap section (56) of the absorptive article (1), the value of bending rigidity in the longitudinal direction (LD) is greater than the value of bending rigidity in the lateral direction (WD).
