A femoral prosthetic component (930, 1030, 1130), comprises: a patellar guide portion； a pair of condyles (932, 1032) projecting from the patellar guide portion and forming an intercondylar notch (938), therebetween； a bearing surface； and an interface surface having a posterior face, an anterior face, a distal face, a posterior chamfer, and an anterior chamfer, characterized in that the distal face comprises two pitched planes (943a-b, 1043a-b, 1143a-b) that converge towards a center axis of the femoral prosthetic component to create a pitched distal surface (943, 1043, 1143).
