The support is suitable for supporting a user’s upper torso, e.g. back, and head. The support has vertebrae 2 hingedly linked in series, end-to-end, where each vertebra 2 has an arm 3 slidably and rotatably mounted thereto. A mouldable cushion is mounted to the vertebrae 2 or arms 3. Each vertebra 2 may have two arms 3 extending either side. The arms 3 may be articulated by a pivotable elbow joint. Shoulder connectors 10 may join the arms 3 to the vertebrae 2. The shoulder connectors 10 may be pivotably connected to sides of the vertebrae 2 or to sliding connectors 8, which are slidable over the vertebrae 2. The rear of the cushion may have pockets to receive vertebrae 2 or arms 3. Joints of the support may be securable in multiple angles. The arms 3 allow the support to be reconfigurable to be personalised to wrap around the sides of a user.
