PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone resin for acoustic wave probes having an acoustic impedance close to the value of a living body, having a reduced acoustic wave attenuation amount, and being excellent in the hardness and mechanical strength, and also to provide an acoustic wave probe, ultrasonic probe, acoustic wave measurement device, ultrasonic diagnostic device, photoacoustic wave measurement device, an ultrasonic endoscope using the resin and a composition for acoustic wave probes.SOLUTION: Used as the silicone resin for acoustic wave probes, in particular as an acoustic lens 1, is a silicone resin which comprises an aggregate having an average primary particle diameter of 200 nm-10 μm and including at least one inorganic oxide, and in which a polymer constituting a resin component has, in molecule chains, at least two structural units represented by the following formula (1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】音響インピーダンスが生体のそれに近く、かつ、音響波減衰量が低減され、硬度および機械強度に優れる音響波プローブ用シリコーン樹脂を提供する。また、この樹脂を用いた音響波プローブ、超音波プローブ、音響波測定装置、超音波診断装置、光音響波測定装置および超音波内視鏡並びに音響波プローブ用組成物を提供する。【解決手段】少なくとも1種の無機酸化物を含んでなる、平均粒子径が200nm~10μmである凝集体を含有し、樹脂成分を構成するポリマーが分子鎖に、下記式(1)で表される構造単位を少なくとも2つ有するシリコーン樹脂を音響波プローブ用シリコーン樹脂、特に音響レンズ1として用いる。【選択図】図1
