The purpose of soil testing is to assess the capability and suitability of land for agriculture and allied activities, identify and quantify the soil constraints and to monitor the soil fertility and to recommend fertilizer dozes to enhance its productivity and/or amendment the soil quality. Soil testing gives an answer for poor performance of crop and offers solution to overcome the same. In India soil sampling is done by a field personnel who visits the fields and collects samples using auger. The samples are then given to authorized laboratories for further processing. This leaves a serious issue unanswered i.e. the location of the sample depends on personnel who is collecting samples. The samples from various fields are likely to get exchanged, thereby generating false soil reports. Even if the field personnel is equipped with advanced location tools such as Global Positioning System(GPS) he/she needs proper training to handle the additional equipment putting additional burden on him/her. The main purpose of this invention is to provide simplicity and ease of operation to field personnel. The developed system automatically generates Quick Response Code (QRC) once the personnel starts the sample collection process. A mobile application provided with the device helps the field personnel to enter the details about farmer such as Survey Number of land, address showing locality of the land. The application also has the capability to read the Quick Response Code (QRC) present on the Addhar Card which contains details of the person onto it. This information is also embedded into the Quick Response Code (QRC) generated by the device. The device communicates with the mobile phone through bluetooth. The printed Quick Response Code is then to be pasted onto the bag containing soil sample from that location.
