A system for repairing a tear in a meniscus in a body with a suture, the system comprising: a suture (12) that includes a first anchor (70), a second anchor (60), and a flexible portion (58) that connects the first anchor (70) and the second anchor (60), the flexible portion (58) including a self-insurable sliding knot (64) between the first anchor (70) and the second anchor (70); a needle (20) having a longitudinally extending hole and an open end (36a), the hole being configured to receive the first anchor and the second anchor; an impeller (23) configured to be movable within the needle hole (20), the impeller (23) being configured to discharge the first anchor (70) and the second anchor (60), and to push the knot (64) self-insurable sliding after the discharge of the second anchor (70); and an implant (82) configured to be positioned adjacent to a damaged part of the meniscus (80); wherein the system is configured to allow: (i) the needle (20) is inserted through the implant (82) and the meniscus (80) in a first location; (ii) the impeller (23) is moved into the hole to deliver the first anchor (70) to an opposite side of the meniscus (80); (iii) the needle (20) is retracted from the meniscus (80) and the implant (82); (iv) the needle (20) is inserted through the implant (82) and the meniscus (80) in a second location on an opposite side of the tear as the first location; (v) the impeller (23) is moved into the hole to deliver the second anchor (60) of the suture (12) to the opposite side of the meniscus (80) without removing the needle (20) from the body; and (vi) the impeller (23) is moved into the hole to push the self-insuring sliding knot (64) to come into contact with an implant surface (82) without removing the needle (20) from the body; characterized in that the needle comprises a first cutting surface (37a) at the open end (36a) to cut the flexible portion (58) of the suture (12); and because the impeller (23) is configured to align the flexible portion
