PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial composition which can synergistically reinforce respective antibacterial actions of hinokithiol and triclosan or isopropylmethylphenol even in various states of the skin and the scalp which differ in the amount and the ratio of sweat and sebum, and a skin care preparation comprising the antibacterial composition.
SOLUTION: The antibacterial composition for anti-Staphylococcus epidermidis, anti-propionibacterium acnes, anti-Malassezia furfur and the like comprises hinokithiol and triclosan and/or isopropylmethylphenol and the skin care preparation comprises the composition.
