The present application is directed to a stent, and more particularly, a radially expandable stent including a proximal end, a distal end, a plurality of struts and a plurality of apices at each of the proximal and distal ends； a barb integrally formed as an extension on at least one strut and extending outwardly from a position on each strut； and at least one slot formed as an opening through at least one of the struts, where at least one of the proximal and distal apices are curved apices.
