The display (1013) also displays information to instruct a how to operate the wound treatment apparatus (802). A method of calibrating the control unit (803) is disclosed. The control unit (803) has a canister (826) to collect waste material from a vacuum wound bandage (14), a source (24) to irrigate the wound, and a door (832) to at least partially cover the fluid source (24).
