The invention features a galvanic particulate including a first conductivematerial and a second conductive material,wherein both the first conductive material and the second conductive materialare exposed on the surface of the particulate, whereinthe particle size of the particulate is from about 10 nanometers to about 100micrometers, wherein the second conductive materialcomprises from about 0.01 percent to about 10 percent, by weight, of the totalweight of the particulate, and wherein the differenceof the standard potentials of the first conductive material and the secondconductive material is at least about 0.2 V.
