PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration measuring apparatus in which an operator or the like is enabled to easily confirm a brain oxygen condition when chest compression is intercepted, and a concentration measuring method.SOLUTION: A concentration measuring apparatus comprises a probe 20 including a light incidence section which makes measuring light incident to the head and a light detection section which detects the measuring light propagated within the head, a CPU 14 which determines a temporal relative variation of an oxidized hemoglobin concentration and performs filter processing for removing a frequency component smaller than a predetermined frequency from frequency components contained in the relative variation, and a display section 15 which displays first time-series data indicating the relative variation after the filter processing. The CPU 14 determines the presence/absence of chest compression.
