PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat capable of improving a feeling of fitting of a palm in palming, and provide a fishing rod.SOLUTION: A reel seat includes a reel seat body 1 mounted to a rod body 100, and a support member 3 for supporting a palm to grip a reel seat. The reel seat body 1 has a reel leg placing part 11 where a reel leg is placed, and an attaching part for attaching the support member 3. When the support member 3 is attached to the reel seat body 1 in left hand specifications, the palm of the left hand is supported with the support member 3 in palming.
