PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broad type medicine for breaking virus and bacterium and suppressing contagion and growth of the same and related method of the same.SOLUTION: This medicine for breaking virus and bacterium and suppressing contagion and growth of the same includes the use of 2-(10-mercaptodecyl)malonic acid and its salt, and related method is also disclosed. Especially a method of suppressing the contagion of (1) influenza virus having envelop, (2) enterovirus having no envelop and (3) staphylococcal bacterium is disclosed.
