PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat a region from a lower back to hips with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A chair type massage machine includes: a backrest part 17M a seat part 10M to be movable in a front and rear direction in connection with the change of the inclination angle of the backrest part 17M and a treatment mechanism 60 for allowing treatment elements 61R, 61L to move by elevating/lowering in the vertical direction of the backrest part 17M. An opening part 200 capable of internally arranging the treatment elements 61R, 61L that have moved by lowering is arranged between the seat part 10M and the backrest part 17M in a horizontal direction. The treatment mechanism 60 allows the treatment elements 61R, 61L to move by lowering toward the inner side of the opening 200 so as to allow at least a part of the treatment elements 61R, 61L to reach a position lower than the height position of a seat surface.
