PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope whose diameter of the tip part of the insertion part can be reduced.SOLUTION: In an endoscope 10, a flat surface 88B of an extension part 86 of a cap body 54 is brought into contact with a planar mounting surface 82 of an outer peripheral surface 48A of a tip part body 48, a second engagement part 92 is caused to engage with a first engagement part 90, and the tip part body 48 and the cap body 54 are connected to each other.
